Why WhatsApp Official
It's the only way to legally send broadcasts, run automations across many conversations, and have multiple agents reply from one number. It also unlocks verified business profiles (the green tick).

How it's different from the WhatsApp Business app
The free app is for solo operators on a single phone. The Official Platform runs in the cloud — no phone needed, no app to keep open, and full team support.

What the rules are
Outside a 24-hour customer service window, you can only send pre-approved Message Templates. Inside the window, you can send anything. See the 24-Hour Rule guide.

Common issues
I already use the WhatsApp Business app — can I switch?
Yes. If the number is currently used in the WhatsApp or WhatsApp Business app, you may need to migrate or remove it from the app before connecting it to WhatsApp Official. Your customers won't notice the change.
