This is the single most important setup step. Once your number is connected, everything else in Nuha Chat starts working.

When to use this guide

After your workspace is created and your team is invited.

Before you start

  • A WhatsApp number ready to use with WhatsApp Official. If the number is currently used in the WhatsApp or WhatsApp Business app, you may need to migrate or remove it from the app before connecting it to WhatsApp Official.
  • Admin access to a Facebook account.
  • Your business's legal name, address, and website.

Step-by-step

    Start the connection flow

    From the dashboard click Connect WhatsApp Official. A Meta dialog opens.

    Sign in with Facebook

    Use a Facebook account that has access to (or can create) your Business Manager.

    Select or create a Business Manager

    If you don't have one, Meta will create it on the spot. Use your real legal business name.

    Add your WhatsApp Business Account

    Pick an existing WABA or create a new one. The display name shown to customers is set here.

    Add and verify your phone number

    Choose SMS or voice verification. Enter the 6-digit code Meta sends.

    Confirm in Nuha Chat

    Once Meta returns to Nuha Chat, your number appears in Settings → WhatsApp with status Active.

What happens next

You can now receive messages immediately. To send the first outbound message to a new contact, you'll need an approved template — see Submit Message Template.

Common issues

Verification code never arrives.

Try the voice option instead of SMS. Some carriers block automated SMS from Meta.

Number is already in use.

The number is still registered to the WhatsApp or WhatsApp Business app. You may need to migrate or remove it from the app before connecting it to WhatsApp Official, then retry.

Display name was rejected.

Meta rejects names that are too generic (e.g. 'Sales' or 'Support'). Use your actual brand name or DBA.
