Use Automation Templates
Automation templates are pre-built workflows you can clone and customize in minutes. They're the fastest way to get value from automation.
When to use this guide
Whenever you want to set up a common workflow without designing it from scratch.
Before you start
- Admin access.
Step-by-step
- 1
Open the template gallery
Automation → Templates. You'll see categories like Routing, Welcome, Follow-Up, Re-engagement.

Pick a template
Click any template card to preview the trigger, conditions, and actions before committing.

Clone to your workspace
Click Use Template. A copy is created in your Automations list, prefixed with the template name.

Customize
Edit the trigger, swap actions, change variables. The template is yours to modify.

Activate
Toggle Active and you're live.
What happens next
Use Logs to confirm the template runs as expected, then iterate.
Common issues
The template references a template message I don't have.
Submit the message template in Settings → WhatsApp → Templates first, then come back and re-link it in the action.
