Contacts Overview
The Contacts module is your single source of truth for everyone you've ever messaged on WhatsApp.
When to use this guide
When you need to find someone, segment for a broadcast, or import a list.
Before you start
- At least one conversation or import.
Step-by-step
- 1
Browse contacts
Open Contacts. Sort by recent activity, name, or creation date.
- 2
Filter by tag, source, or stage
Use the filter bar to narrow down — useful for broadcast targeting.
- 3
Open a contact card
See full message history, all tags, custom fields, and notes in one place.
- 4
Add a contact manually
Click New Contact, enter name + WhatsApp number in international format (+15551234567).
- 5
Import a CSV
Click Import. Map your columns to Name, Phone, and any custom fields. Up to 10,000 rows per import.
What happens next
Use Segments to save filter combinations as reusable audiences for broadcasts and automation.
Common issues
CSV import says 'Invalid phone format'.
Phone numbers must be in E.164 format starting with + and country code, no spaces or dashes.
Duplicate contacts after import.
Nuha Chat dedupes by phone number. If you see duplicates the numbers differ — check for typos or missing country codes.
